Hey guys,

In a recent communication from our mill we have been advised of a substantial price increase in wholesale woolen prices. As many of my customers can attent to I have made every effort down through the years to keep my prices as low as possible. I have absorbed numerous raw materal price increases over the years with only a very small adjustment (about 25% of the total increases received) in 2009.

However, with this latest price increase I have no other option but to increase my trouser prices accordingly. Cottons and thread have gone up as well but that's another sad tale. I sincerely regret having to increase prices as the American working man certainly has enough to shoulder with his daily financial responsibilities. However, the increase in SBC trouser prices is simply unavoidable among the overall costs of doing business.

In an effort to keep the impact of this price increase as light as possible I am instituting it in two phases. I have adjusted my current prices to reflect right around 50% of the price increase effective January 7th, 2012. I will then make the final price adjustment on April 1st, 2012.

Once again I sincerely regret having to institute these prices increases but could find no feasable way around it. I along with my staff reviewed our entire operation but found no area where we could adjust or modify our other expenses where we could reduce or even put off this increase.

As always I along with my staff promise our continued commitment to historical accuracy in our products as well as with our reliable faithful customer service - which has been our hallmark for over thirty seven years.

     All the best!
